LGBTQ+ Statistics

According to the CDC's National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey:

  • 1 in 3 bisexual women (36.6%) and 1 in 6 heterosexual women (15.5%) have experienced stalking victimization at some point during their lifetime. 

  • Experienced Lifetime Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence: Bisexual women: 61.1% Bisexual men: 37.3% Lesbian: 43.8% Gay: 26%

  • Experienced Sexual violence: Lesbian: 13.1% Bisexual women: 46.1%

From the National Transgender Survey:

  • 47% experienced Sexual assault in their lifetime

  • 54% experienced some form of Intimate Partner Violence

  • 24% experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner
