VOLUNTEERING

ASPEN relies on the work of volunteers to provide essential services to victims of domestic and sexual violence.  Please take some time to review the information below to learn more about how volunteers support our mission and how you can get involved.

There are many different ways to donate your time to ASPEN. Choose the option that best fits your schedule and skill set.

Being a volunteer support line advocate includes many of the most essential direct service duties including:

  • Provide immediate assistance, crisis intervention, and non-judgmental support to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence on our 24-hour support line

  • Increase safety for victims and their families by finding shelter and helping develop safety plans

  • Empower victims and survivors by providing them with information, resources, and referrals

Requirements:

  • Complete 2 days of training plus shadow shifts

  • Complete a background check

  • A minimum of one, weekly night + weekend shift per month (7 days)
